Plose, Brixen

Fall in love with Brixen’s local mountain

Plose, Brixen’s local mountain, is known as the gateway to the Dolomites – and for good reason: As you ascend, an awe-inspiring panorama opens up and accompanies you on your adventures in the skiing and hiking area. Just seven kilometres away from the city centre, you’ll find the valley station of Brixen’s adventure mountain, whose summit you can reach with the cable car some 11 months of the year. Look forward to a unique mountain experience with 300 days of sunshine a year and holiday experiences that take you from 560 to 2,542 metres above sea level!

Plose: your winter wonderland

Step off the cable car. Breathe deep. Enjoy. Once you arrive at 2,000 metres above sea level, you’ll discover a winter paradise with guaranteed snow, 40 kilometres of pistes, and a 360° panorama. When carving your turns down the southern slopes of Plose and Pfannspitz, you’ll have a fantastic view of the unmistakeable peaks of the Dolomites, while to the north, the peaks of the main Alpine ridge stand proud. A perfect day’s skiing ends with the descent to the valley: Ready for nine kilometres of skiing bliss on the legendary Trametsch?

Conquering the slopes makes you hungry. My tip: spare ribs at the Pfannspitz hut and sweet Germknödel dumplings at Rossalm. Plose indulgence doesn’t get much better than that!
